A display suite to encapsulate the ethos of Molonglo Group’s Nishi development.

DesignOffice worked in collaboration with the client and Clear to conceive a display suite to showcase Nishi’s attributes in Canberra’s New Acton precinct. Designed by Fender Katsalidis Architects with apartment interiors by Suppose Design Office and landscape design by Oculus, Nishi comprises over 200 apartments, a hotel, restaurants, retail opportunities, a cinema and the offices for the DCCEE, contributing significantly to Canberra’s environmental, social, physiological and financial landscape.

The display suite opened to the gardens of New Acton with a library and curated retail space. Beyond this, a series of 4no. ‘Proofpoints’, designed with local creatives Bigfish, encapsulate and animate the attributes of Nishi living. Hand-made architectural models, large-scale floorplans of the apartments and a curated collection of new and vintage furniture complete the display suite experience.

Following the design of the Nishi Display Suite, DesignOffice completed three further projects at the Nishi development: the Palace Cinemas 8-screen cinema, prosecco bar and cafe, Parlour restaurant and bar and A.Baker restaurant, bar and bakery.
