More Information Less InformationDesignOffice for Milieu is located on Hertford Street in Fitzroy. It was commissioned by Milieu Property to provide five townhouses offering domestic sanctuary in a vibrant urban neighbourhood.
The individual houses are uniformly wrapped in a timber skin. This screening is subtly folded and layered to express each of the separate houses and to provide delicate screening from inside to out. A palette of charcoal shingles, metal panels and expanded mesh screens compliment the timber screen responding to the needs of each house.
The internal sequence of spaces have been crafted to provide an intuitive, considered and efficient flow from front door to terrace. A natural palette of bluestone, timber, cork, terrazzo and stainless steel evolve the language developed by DesignOffice for Milieu.
