Handpicked Wines Cellar Door

Sydney’s bustling Kensington Street precinct provides the first urban cellar door setting for Handpicked Wines.

Comprising a relaxed wine lounge and retail area, the interior is an elegant composition of solid oak, galvanised metal, leather and granite. Timber detailing above creates a structurally rhythmic datum throughout, placing focus on the retail showcase and social spaces below. Off the main wine bar, the exclusive Handpicked Experience Room invites guests to sample wines straight from the barrel, under a vaulted ceiling.

Following the success of this project, Platform by DesignOffice, which focuses on Brands in Built Form® was then engaged to develop Handpicked Wines’ flagship site in Melbourne’s CBD.
